The Impact of the World War II led to the introduction of a bipolar world order. Led by the new world powers, the United States and the Soviet Union, the world was divided into two spheres: capitalist and socialist. In the arena of ideological competition, many newly independent countries were included in one or another circle, while some countries chose the path of independent self-development outside the circle of influence. This three-way struggle for dominance in the global arena has led to an unprecedented expansion of knowledge and scientific invention. Numerous theories were invented through meditative studies and researches in the field of society, politics, economics, language, philosophy, science, etc. This theoretical universe has not only nourished the creative thinking of artists and writers, but also added a new dimension to literary analysis. This article is a post-colonial analysis of Hasan Azizul Huq’s novel Agunpakhi in the light of Jacques Derrida’s theory of deconstruction and Mikhail Bakhtin’s polyphony. This article is explored the journey of an unnamed marginalized woman to self-awaken and build her own world; and in parallel to the world of woman, another world has developed—the world of colonized Bengal, which is as endangered as woman in the mill of colonial exploitation and grinding. The life of oppressed woman is explored in terms of the nature of the colonized and decolonized Bengal.]
