The people of ethnic minorities living in Bangladesh have been trapped in the web of colonial and neo-colonial exploitation and have fallen into a marginal and lower class reality. Such a reality of small-ethnic groups can be found on the stories of- 'Rajar Bari’, 'Ponnayoner Etikotha’, 'Sbojati’, 'Atosh Pakhi’, 'Kolpona Chakma o Rajar Sepai’ and 'Tanababa’ etc. written by Zakir Talukdar. Including images of establishing cultural dominance over ethnic minorities who are out of money and power. These stories, written against the backdrop of exploitation and oppression, reinforce the post-colonial ideology of anti-bourgeois class. The stories are rich in historical and real-life elements of the lower classes able to advance the trend of subaltern studies. The aim of the present article is to explore the lower-class reality of the ethnic minority reflected in these stories through a text-analytic method.
